From tender years you took me for granted
(But still I deign to wander through your lungs)
While You were sleeping solemnly in your bed
(You're drapes were silver wings your shutter's flung)
I Drew the poison from the summer sting
(And eased the fire out of your fevered skin)
I Moved in you and stirred your soul to sing
(And if you let me I won't move again)
I've danced with sun lit stands of lovers hair
(And Formed the final words before you death)
I pitied you and piled your sails with air
(A blessing when you rose upon my breath)
And after all of this, I am amazed
That I am cursed far more than I am praised

Repenting Of Religion
"... If we take seriously the biblical teaching that the love command is the greatest command, that we must put it above all other considerations, that we must clothe ourselves with and even live in love, then there can be no thought of balancing love with any other concern. Nothing can qualify a command that is "above all" other commands. If the command is to love everyone as Christ loves us, there is simply no situation in which the command does not apply."

A Million Miles In A Thousand Years
I read a book a couple years ago by Steven Pressfield called The War Of Art. The book is about writing, about the process of getting words onto an empty page. Pressfield said a writer has to sit down every day and write, regardless of how he feels. He said you can sit around and wait for inspiration to come, but you'll never finish your book that way. "The muse honors the working stiff," Pressfield says. He also says that every creative person, and I think probably every other person, faces resistance when trying to create something good. He even says resistance, a kind of feeling that comes against you when you point toward a distant horizon, is a sure sign that you are supposed to do the thing in the first place. The harder the resistance, the more important the task must be, Pressfield believes.
